Centre for Quantum Computation
& Communication Technology

2012

For over a decade the studio has provided graphic expertise to the Australian Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC2T) based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

CQC2T is an international research effort to develop the science and technology of a global quantum computing information network, encompassing ultra-fast quantum computation, absolutely secure quantum communication and distributed quantum information processing.

With the establishment of the Centre under a new funding structure, its brand was revised to accommodate a significantly longer name and a graphic device that embodied the essence of the research. The Centre's refurbished premises required development of integrated signage and environmental graphics.

Externally, a large laser perforated screen and dynamic flag device announces its presence on the UNSW campus.

Internally, dramatic photographic imagery picks up various themes of the Centre's research in the main entry foyer and lift lobbies, whilst super graphics provide a vigorous introduction to this globally acclaimed research institution.
